Conclusion
There are undoubtedly a host of other industries that are quickly unbundling, or will be unbundled, by go-it-alone entrepreneurs. Professional service businesses are exploding into their component functions, and the development, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of specific products are no longer being handled by monolithic corporations. Unbundling and the go-it-alone approach to business are sweeping across the business landscape.

How to Think about the Future of Your Business
The advances in ASPs lead to an important, perhaps counterintuitive, business perspective. There is a natural tendency to believe that almost any business will be better off with custom-designed services. Many go-it-alone entrepreneurs may even conclude that it’s worth paying the cost of development. In this area, I have one absolute, unwavering piece of advice: Follow Churchill’s maxim and “Never give in.” Resist this temptation with all of your will!
